Heavy rain and fog disrupt Pakistan–UAE flight operations, dozens of flights cancelled or delayed

 Severe rainfall has caused major disruptions to air travel between Pakistan and the UAE, resulting in widespread flight cancellations and delays across multiple airports. Airport authorities confirmed that adverse weather conditions significantly affected operations on routes linking Pakistan with Dubai and Sharjah.

A total of 18 flights were cancelled, while 67 arrivals and departures faced delays nationwide. Among the cancellations were two foreign airline flights operating between Karachi and Dubai, as well as two Faisalabad–Dubai flights. Lahore saw three Dubai-bound flights grounded, Peshawar reported six cancelled flights to Dubai, and two Islamabad–Dubai flights were also called off due to weather-related operational issues.

In addition to cancellations, delays were reported at several major airports. Lahore recorded delays to 16 inbound and outbound flights, Karachi faced disruptions to 12 flights, and Islamabad experienced delays affecting 21 flights.

Travel difficulties were further compounded by dense fog in other regions. At Multan Airport, eight flights were delayed, while Sialkot, Skardu, and Quetta each reported delays to two flights. Peshawar also experienced delays to four additional flights due to foggy conditions.

Passengers have been urged to remain in close contact with their airlines and check flight statuses before travelling to airports, as unstable weather conditions may continue to impact flight schedules.
