The registration of new companies has added 30.7 billion dollars in paid-up capital
There has been a significant expansion of business opportunities and investment in Pakistan due to the efforts of Special Investment Facilitation Council.
According to a report by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), twenty-one thousand, six hundred and sixty-eight new companies have so far registered in the current fiscal year.
The registration of new companies has added 30.7 billion dollars in paid-up capital to the economy, representing a notable twenty-nine increase compared to last year.
IT and e-commerce lead the sectors with 4277 new companies, followed by trade with 2997, services with 2686 and real estate with 2,031 companies.
Foreign investment continues to show a positive trend in the current fiscal year, with seven hundred and thirty-one foreign investors establishing five hundred and twenty-four new companies and investing 1.26 billion rupees.
Companies from China, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Vietnam, the United States and the UAE have registered in Pakistan.
China leads foreign investment with a seventy-one percent share, reflecting the growing business confidence in Pakistan.
